At Desert Joy, our promise is to deliver the best in everything we do. We’re committed to food safety, quality assurance, consistency, and providing great tasting produce from our farm to your table.
At every step of cultivation and packing, Desert Joy use the best food safety practices. We strive to exceed all food safety standards consistently. We know that the safety standards start at the time of planting and need to continue throughout the entire process.
For us, quality is a top priority. Like hard-working bees, our quality management buzz around from early to late to ensure the application of good practices. And the series of certificates issued demonstrates that you can trust our quality.
Food safety is the cornerstone of our company. We are certified ISO 22000 from January 2016 and we work in accordance with the most stringent control procedures and the strictest quality management. We are Global Gap v5 certified and brought into conformity with the more complex requirements of Tesco.
We maintain an exigency of the highest standards for Desert Joy. The commercialized produce is continually subjected to a controlled analysis plan and checked for its conformity to the standard norms in order to ensure that our clients receive produce of the best possible quality.
Fairtrade : Desert Joy get the certification on May 2015 as producer of tomatoes as hired labor. Fairtrade standards for hired labor situations specify that employees receive minimum wages and collective bargaining. The standards also specify that Fairtrade-certified plantations should have no forced or child labor and that health and safety requirements are met. And it require a "joint body" to be set up with representatives from both the management and the employees. This committee decides on how Fairtrade Premiums will be spent to benefit our employees.
